Donald Bloomster, Class of 1951

Rev. Donald Bloomster ‘51 died July 18, 2023. Born on July 8, 1929 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of the late Jesse and Margaret Ross Bloomster. He received a Bachelor’s of Art in business administration from the business, accounting, and economics department, in addition to a Bachelor’s of Science from the mathematical sciences department in mathematics. He was a member of Otterbein’s choir and Lambda Gamma Epsilon. He went on to receive his Master of Divinity from Drew University. He retired from Moorhead United Methodist Church. He survived by his wife, Shirley Chagnot Bloomster ’52, and his four children: Bonnie Bloomster Hipwell ’76, Brad Bloomster, Brent Bloomster, and Bruce Bloomster.
