Donnalea Cain Phinney, Class of 1975

Donnalea Cain Phinney ’75 died Dec. 25, 2018. She was born Dec. 24, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio; she was the daughter of the late Willis Raymond and Wavalene Bickel Cain. Donnalea earned her bachelors of education at Otterbein, and a master’s degree at Ohio State. She was an RN, and worked for Worthington Public Schools. Donnalea and her family established the George J. Phinney H’89 Endowed Award to help Otterbein students achieve their educational dreams.

Donnalea was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Robert. She is survived by her husband, George Jay Phinney; and her daughter, Melinda Phinney ‘85.
