Frances Coleman Baumle, Class of 1948

Frances Coleman Baumle ’48 died Sept. 10, 2019. She was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Forrest and Fanny Coleman on July 21, 1927. During her time at Otterbein, ‘Fran’ was active on the women’s basketball and field hockey teams, and a member of the Epsilon Kappa Tau sorority.
She was a member of American Legion Post 297 Auxiliary, and started Girl Scouts in Paulding County.
Fran is survived by her children Paul Miller ’74, Peter Miller ’75, Patsy Wiedemann, Patrick Baumle, and Jack Baumle; sister Grace Brague, 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands J.O. Miller ’50 and Robert Baumle; sisters Jane Anders and Ellen Peters ’50; and grandson David Miller.
