Gwen Elliott ’44 died Aug. 28, 2016. Working nightly in a World War II equipment factory, she attended Otterbein in the daytime. She was an active community volunteer in Petoskey, MI, where she and her husband, Dean Elliott ’44, raised three children. He preceded her in death in 1991. Three children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchild survive.
