Jacqueline Cooper Comito ’56 died February 18, 2022. She was born in Sugarcreek OH on July 31, 1934 to the late Charles Cooper ’35 and Rhea Moomaw Cooper ’33. Jacqueline graduated from Otterbein with a degree in elementary education and was in the band, choir, and Tau Delta (Deltas) sorority. She began teaching overseas on military bases in her 20s and spent time touring all over Europe. She taught in Germany for years and became fluent in German. She met her husband Bernard Comito while teaching in Holland and were married in Ohio in 1973. They both returned to teaching overseas and had two children while living in Spain.
She is survived by her children Christopher (Jennifer) Comito, Rhea Comito, her brother Jim ‘67 (Nancy) Cooper, 6 grandchildren, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Comito and her brother Chad Cooper ‘60.
