James Duvall, Class of 1948

James Duvall ’48 died October 19, 2019. He was born May 1, 1922 in Kenton, Ohio. James graduated from Otterbein in 1948 with a bachelor of arts in history. During his time at Otterbein he was involved in band and with the football team, as well as the honorary societies Phi Alpha Theta and Theta Alpha Phi, and was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. James then went on to earn his master’s of divinity from the United Theological Seminary. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha ’45, brother-in-law Dr. Richard Pflieger ’48, and sister-in-law Dorothy Pfleiger ’48. James is survived by children Thomas, Stephen, and Stephanie Duvall, and niece Kathryn Schuller ’79.
