Joan Hopkins Albrecht, Class of 1950

Joan Hopkins Albrecht ’50, died on June 15, 2019. Joan “Hoppy” was a 1950 graduate of Otterbein with a degree in Chemistry and Biology. During her time at Otterbein, she was involved in Sigma Zeta, Student Government, was the 1949 May Queen, and was a member of the Epsilon Kappa Tau (EKT) sorority. Joan was an active alumnus at Otterbein, serving on committees and attending several June Bug Jamborees. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Brent Albrecht ’49 and survived by her children Deborah Albrecht, Dan Albrecht ’79, and Joseph Albrecht, and grandchildren.
