John E. Hammond, Class of 1948

John Hammond died Oct. 30, 2016.  He was a physician on staff at Doctors Hospital (Columbus) for more than 40 years and was a physician at Masters Clinics and at Marysville Women’s Prison.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine Jones Hammond ’49; and three siblings, including brother, Granville Hammond ’40.  He is survived by two children, including Dwight Hammond ’73; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
