June Paxton Imbrogno Burns ’84 died Jan. 21, 2021. June was born in South Charleston, West Virginia on January 18, 1949. She grew up in St. Albans, WV, graduated from St. Albans High School and attended WVU. Spending most of her life in Columbus, Ohio, June received her nursing degree from Otterbein University.
June was involved in many charities and philanthropic organizations and she was also an avid tennis and bridge player. After her first husband Gene Imbrogno’s passing, she met and married Patrick Burns and embraced his family of five children. They lived a wonderful life between Columbus and Bonita Springs, FL. She will always be remembered as the “life of the party” and for her infectious, compassionate personality.
June was preceded in death by parents, Carl Fogelsong, Carl and Billie Paxton; husband, Eugene F. Imbrogno III; and granddaughter Carson Burns. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Burns; her sons, Chris (Tammy) Imbrogno, Jason (Dawn) Imbrogno, Chris Burns, and Matt Burns; daughters, Stacie (Kent) Smith, Andrea Burns, and Allison Burns; grandchildren, Erica, Matthew, Daniel, Connor, Zach, Cameron, Dominick, Kendall, Casey, and Leah; sisters, Lynn (Bob) Edgell and Julie (Carl) Sandberg; brother, Brad (Amy) Paxton; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
