Margaret Macrum Witt, Class of 1974

Margaret Ann “Peg” Macrum Witt ’74 died January 24, 2023. Peg was born on April 16, 1928, to the late Samuel and Anna Belle Cramer Macrum.
Peg was a graduate of Connellsville High School and earned a BA in Education from Otterbein College.
Peg taught elementary school in both Westerville and Connellsville. She was a long-time member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary for several years.

Along with her parents, Peg was predeceased by her husband Elsley Witt ‘49, brother-in-law Dale Witt ’51, and brother Samuel Macrum, Jr.

Peg is survived by daughter Jane Witt; sons Lt. Col. E. Keith Witt Jr. ’72, spouse Diane Savage Witt ’72, D. Kevin Witt ’73, spouse Donna Witt, T. Kent Witt ’75, spouse Jane Melhorn Witt ’75, and R. Kerry Witt ’77, spouse Sherry Witt.
Grandchildren include: Christine Witt ‘00 (Scott) Hoffman, T. Kent Witt Jr. ‘02 (Courtney), R. Kyle Witt ‘02 (Sarah), Laura Witt ‘03 (Mark ’03) Harvey, Katy Witt ‘05 (Lance) Leonard, Kelly Witt ‘05 (Adam) Finch, E. Keith Witt, III (Amber), Megan Witt ’08 (Matt) Harvey, Amy Witt ’09, Elizabeth Witt ‘10 (Alex) Monticue, D. Kevin Witt Jr. ‘11, Addie Witt ‘13 (Bryan) Cunningham, and Zachary Witt ‘13 (MacKenzie).
She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.

Also included in the Witt Otterbein family are niece Linda Witt Livengood ’74 and nephews; Rev. Mark Witt ’72, Ralph Witt III ’70. Todd Reagan ’84, J. Gregory Witt ’78 and David Witt ’79.
