Marion Gannon Smith, Class of 1949

Marion Gannon Smith ’49 died October 30, 2022. Marion was born June 21, 1927, to the late Grace and Marin Gannon in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Marion graduated from Western Hills High School and moved on to Otterbein College where she received her Bachelors of Science in education. During her time at Otterbein, she was a proud member of Epsilon Kappa Tau sorority. Marion later used her degree and went on to become a kindergarten teacher.

Marion was predeceased by husband, Donald Smith ’50, her grandsons Joseph Wojcik and Alexander Krafve, Brother Jack Gannon. She is survived by her daughters Pamela and Patricia, many great nieces and nephews along with her cousins Barb and Connie.
