Mary Mason Weaver, Class of 1981

Mary Mason Weaver ’81 died died on Nov. 15, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 12, 1958 to the late Shirley Vittum and Walter Mason. Mary graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Otterbein in 1981. During her time at Otterbein, she was involved in band, choir, and a member of Theta Nu sorority. Mary worked 15 years as a field executive with the Girl Scout Council (7 years with Four Winds Council in Wichita, Kansas and 8 years with Seal of Ohio Council in Columbus, Ohio) and 19 years with Columbus City Schools at Cassady Alternative Elementary School.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Vittum; sister, Dorothy Sova; and father, Walter Mason. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Weaver; daughter, Stefanie Bohnert; son, Alex Weaver (Raul Rojas); granddaughter, Audrey Bohnert; siblings, Ann Mason, Katharin Mason – Wolf, Daniel Mason, and Margaret Mason.
