Meredith Schlatter, Class of 1951

Meredith Schlatter ’51 died Jan. 31, 2021. Mike was born Jan. 18, 1929 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late William and Josephine (Roth) Schlatter. He was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School class of 1947 and Otterbein College in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War.

Mike retired from the Thomas W. Ruff Company. He also worked many years for F & R Lazarus and Columbus Liquidating/Office Outfitters. He was a long-time member since 1943 of the Karl Road Baptist Church (formerly Linden Baptist Church) where his father served as pastor for many years and also attended Jersey Baptist Church.

Survived by wife Nancy (Pratt) Schlatter, sons Robert (Roxanne), Ronald (Cherie) and Steven; daughter Michele (Steven) Collins; and 8 grandchildren. Also surviving are his two nieces and grand-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and sisters Margery Schlatter and Mariellen Bruce.
