Michael Phillips ’53 died Aug. 23, 2017. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 1946-49 aboard the USS Tarawa. He joined a family practice in New Lebanon, OH,after completing his internship at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dayton. He was preceded in death by his youngest son. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charlayne Huggins Phillips ’53; two sons; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
