Pamela King Verne, Class of H'92

Pamela King Verne H’92 died March 22, 2022. Born August 3, 1943 in Marion, OH to the late Anna Mae (Conroy) and John King. Pam graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1961. Retired Otterbein staff and former parent, Pam was a trailblazer and regular fixture in the Otterbein Athletics Department, serving first as secretary to the men’s athletic director then later as executive assistant to the athletic director for men and women under athletics directors Dr. Elmer “Bud” Yoest and Dick Reynolds. She was inducted into the Otterbein Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.
Pam is survived by her husband, David; children, Devonie ’85 (Patrick ’86) Bennett, Teresa ’88 (David) Nebraska, and Michael’92 (Beth) Verne; grandchildren, Jordan, Dustin, Andrew, Jansen, Daulton, Cayman, Payton, Hannah, Dominic, Lily; and her dog, Bella; brothers-in-law, Larry (Kathy) Verne, Tommy (Kathy) Verne; and sister-in-law, Julie (Bill) Orr; many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
