Paul Gibson ’50 died Oct. 10, 2019. Paul was born in Denver, Colorado on Jan. 4, 1923 to the late George and Thelma Gibson. He attended Columbine Elementary School and graduated from Manuel High School. After graduation, Paul worked for the railroad as a clerk. At 19, He was drafted into the Army and was stationed in the Philippians during World War II where he worked as a clerk. This is where he first became a Chaplain’s Assistant. He was Honorably Discharged on April 16, 1946.

Paul attended Otterbein University on the G.I. Bill. He graduated from college and attended Seminary School in Columbus, OH. Paul learned to play the violin at an early age. He played in several semi-professional orchestras for many years. He has always shared his gift of music with the congregations in his charge. Paul was a pastor for over forty years.

Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie and sons David and Jeffrey. He is survived by children; Michael (Susan) Gibson, Mark (Vicky), Greg (Janice) and Elise Ugarte. Grandfather of Martin (Karen) Ugarte, Roger Ugarte and Leah Gibson. Great-Grandfather of Alex Ugarte.
