Raymond Cartwright, Jr., Class of 1958

Raymond Cartwright Jr. ’58 died Jan. 2, 2020. He was born on July 3, 1934, in Perryopolis to the late Raymond Sr. and Sylvia Cartwright.
Raymond attended Altoona High School and graduated from Otterbein in 1958 with a degree in history and a minor in religion, going on to pursue degrees at the United Theological Seminary. During his time at Otterbein he was involved in the Phi Alpha Theta honorary society, the men’s football team, and as a member of the Lamda Gamma Epsilon fraternity.
Raymond worked for the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and the Philadelphia Human Relations Commission, and was an ordained minister of the United Methodist Church. He then retired from the PA Human Relations Commission after 28 years of loyal service.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Cartwright.
