Richard Harsh, Class of 1970

Richard Harsh ’70 died January 2, 2023. He was born October 13, 1948, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Donald and Mary (Royer) Harsh.

Rich earned a BSE in education, with a minor in health education from Otterbein College. Rich was an original member of Friends of Clarice Burton which helped to form the Clarice Burton Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund which annually awards financial assistance to deserving Otterbein juniors and seniors.

Rich was a teacher for 25 years teaching at Greenville Schools. He was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church; he enjoyed golf, gardening, baseball, which he played in high school and college, and loved to spend time outdoors.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Linda Louise (Homan) Harsh on December 2, 2022.

Richard is survived by his children and their spouses, Lisa and Eric Voelker, Alan and Amber Harsh, and Rachel and Stephan Sadurski; his grandchildren; Nora, Grace, and Claire Harsh, Alexis, Lillian, and Lucas Voelker, Kyle, Caleb, Eliot, and Isaac Sadurski.
