Ruth Stanley Farmer, Class of 1969

Ruth Stanley Farmer ’69 died Oct. 28, 2016. She graduated from Springfield High School and Otterbein College. She spent her 39 year career teaching. She was a charter member of the faculty of the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School, where she taught Food Service/ Culinary Arts until her retirement in 2008. She was an active member of both the Ohio and National Education Associations. She was also a member of Otterbein’s Rho Kappa Delta sorority.

She is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Stanley; her mother, Evelyn Stanley; her sister, Nancy Stanley; her son, Joel Farmer; and her grandson, Angel Farmer. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Enoch Farmer; her sons, Andy and Doug; her sister, Karen Stanley Goddard; her grandsons, Alejandro, Santiago, and Andres; and her granddaughter, Molly.
