Sharon Vorhees Ricker, Class of 2008

Sharon Vorhees Ricker ’08 died June 28, 2022. Sharon was a lifelong learner, graduating from Otterbein University with degrees in history and psychology. She worked for Huntington Bank in Columbus for over 35 years. Sharon was an active member at St. Pauls Catholic Church, a longtime member of their choir, and a compassionate volunteer of the W.A.R.M. food pantry.
Sharon’s greatest loves were animals, gourmet cooking, trivia, and gardening. She will be fondly remembered for her bountiful generosity, often hosting large social gatherings for others, adopting animals, and service to Blendon Township.
Sharon is survived by son Gregory Ricker (Leslie), and two granddaughters Melissa and Sarah (Ben); daughter Michelle Ricker (Danny), and her brother Donald Vorhees (Susan).
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Irene Vorhees, her sister Jacqueline Vorhees, husband Howard, daughter Georgeanne Ricker ’83, and son-in-law Danny Brown.
