Steven Kennedy, Class of 1973

Steven Kennedy ’73 died Dec. 17, 2020. Born May 9, 1950 to the late Paul and Edna Kennedy, Steve grew up in Terrace Park, Cincinnati. He graduated from Mariemont High School 1969 being recognized as “most witty” by his classmates and was later inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame (football, basketball, baseball). Steve graduated from Otterbein University 1973 double majoring in Business Administration and Art, while also pitching on the varsity baseball team.
Steve returned to Cincinnati where he met his wife Grace (known by her nickname Renie) and worked for more than three decades with two of his brothers as an owner of Kennedy Associates, a food brokerage company started by his father.
Steve is survived by wife Grace Farrell Kennedy, children; Steve Jr. (Catherine) and Dan (Mimi), and loving “Pops” to William (Steve III), Julia Grace, Patrick, Grant and Paige; siblings; Gwen Smith, Pat Fries, Paul (Joanne), Bob, and the late Dan (Kathy) Kennedy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.
