Wanita Gallogly Ross, Class of 1966

Wanita Gallogly Ross ’66 died January 11, 2023. Wanita was born March 3, 1930, to the late John and Ruth Gallogly.
Wanita graduated from Otterbein in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Years later, she retired from teaching 3rd grade at Cherrington School in Westerville. Wanita’s hobbies included painting Christmas scenes on the large picture windows, teaching baton lessons, sewing, upholstery, and crafts. She enjoyed traveling and snow-birding in Florida with her husband.

Wanita is preceded in death by her brother, Vernor Gallogly; her husband, Charles “Doug” Ross ’66; and son, Paul Ross.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Carl and Marianne Ross; John and Jean Ross; and daughter Cathy Ross. Her grandchildren include Tim (Angela), Amiee (Michael), Matthew, Benjamin (Topher), Lori, Michelle, Stephanie, and Kimberly. Great grandchildren include Nathan, Hanna, Stephen, Brandon, Abigail, Olivia, and Emery. One great-great grandson, Kaiden and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
