William Fridley ’71 died August 20, 2020. Bill was born on March 5, 1949 in Franklin County to Howard and Bertha Steele Fridley. He was a 1967 graduate of Teays Valley High School and then received his bachelor’s degree in science from Otterbein University in 1971. Bill was a member of the National Honor Society at Teays Valley and a member of the Eta Phi Mu (Jonda) fraternity at Otterbein University. He ran cross country for two years and played baseball for two years at Otterbein. Bill was self-employed and specialized in painting and home-maintenance. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, crossword puzzles, and always enjoyed helping his family and friends with their needs and especially the elderly with great concern. Bill was preceded in death by his father; and brother, David Leigh Fridley. Survivors include his mother, Bertha Fridley; his wife, Eileen Harper Fridley; brother, Melvin (Debi) Fridley and his life-long friend and brother, Ronald White, who gave him special assistance with recent health issues. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
