Activate Your Otterbein Network Account
To activate your network account, you need to know your username and your temporary password. Then, please see http://activate.otterbein.edu and follow the on-screen instructions. Please Note: By activating your account, you agree to the terms and conditions of Otterbein’s Acceptable Use Policy
You have a network and an Office 365 account. By activating your network account, you will have access to network resources, Outlook email, and the mobile Office 365 suite of apps. You may also download Office for your home/personal use.
Note: Prospect students have already activated a limited access network account. The limited network account means access to email only. Upon paid admission fee and acceptance to Otterbein University, your network account automatically rolls into a full access network account. No further activation is required. You will also receive your free Office 365 account and free Office downloads for personal use.
Password Security Requirements and Policy:
Network Password Change Policy:
Current activated network accounts have a recurring password change policy applied. You will receive notices sent to your Otterbein email informing you when your password will expire. Expect to be required to change your password every six months. Fill out your account profile now on the account management page with this link myPassword or use the convenient button located on the right side of this web page. By completing your account profile, you will be able to change your own password even if you forgot it. You also use myPassword to manage password unlocks, resets, changes, and to edit your profile.
If you allow your password to expire, you will be required to visit the ITS Help Desk in the lower level of Roush Hall, Room 005 to have it reset. It is important to act on password expiration notices sent to your Otterbein email to avoid this inconvenience. Explore My O-Zone After Account Activation:
My O-Zone is Otterbein’s intranet and a portal to other resources. Click here to view the Orientation page on Information Technology’s O-Zone site. You will need to log into O-Zone with your email@example.com and the password you created when you activated your account. The Orientation page provides comprehensive information on accounts, how to get support, and details about all of Otterbein’s computing and network resources.
My O-Zone also features campus information, upcoming events and quick shortcuts to Otterbein’s on-line resources. After activating your account, please wait approximately up to one hour to log into My O-Zone so our system can update and sync.
