STAND for your Encore at Otterbein

As you walk through the Otterbein University Department of Music, you'll notice that it's alive—with music, with laughter, with students in the lounge, with professors talking to students. That's because Music at Otterbein is more than an education, it's an experience.

Now Playing

Whether it be from our talented students, our actively practicing faculty & staff or from a guest ensemble, there is always music playing at Otterbein. Check out our concert calendar to see what events are coming up next.

We are excited to offer our fifth annual summer music camp at Otterbein University for rising 9-12 graders, June 5-9, 2017. The camp caters to string players (violin, viola, cello, bass), guitarists, pianists (classical and jazz), vocalists (classical and jazz), wind and brass instruments (flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet and lower brass instruments), percussionists and composers.  Click here for more information and to learn how to apply.

Music major candidates must complete an audition to be accepted into the Department of Music, and to be considered for a talent award.

Non-Music majors must complete an audition to be considered for an ensemble or talent award.

All students must complete an application to Otterbein before you may schedule an audition.

Non-Major Participation

You don't have to be a music major to continue participating in your music experience.  Non-majors may join any of the music ensembles, take private lesson and may even be eligible for music associated talent awards.  Select a performance area or Application & Scholarship for more information.
