Spoken Word for the Soul: Open Mic Night


Celebrate Black History Month by reading and listening to poetry by amazing Black poets - including some from our campus! The library is proud to co-sponsor Spoken Word for the Soul: Open Mic Night on February 21st, 6pm-7:30pm, at the Campus Center. Winter Watercolor Program on February 8th


The library will be hosting a chill evening of watercolors on Wednesday, February 8th, starting at 6pm on the second floor of the library. We'll provide an example of winter scene for you to paint, as well as the watercolors and paper. You just need to bring a willingness to experiment and your creativity! We'll also provide some hot cocoa so you can warm up even as you paint that chilly winter landscape. We hope to see you there!

Spring Becker Gallery Artist: Jennifer Overholser


Spring semester brings a new artist to the Becker Gallery on the lower level - Jennifer Overholser! About her exhibit, Jennifer says: "My artwork captures moments in a way similar to how we experience them- quick and fleeting. Not all the details are clear, but the idea is fully described on the canvas. Long Night Against Procrastination on November 17th


The Long Night Against Procrastination will be on November 17th, 6pm-9pm, throughout the entire library. October 27th Proclaimed Friends of the Library Day at Otterbein


On October 26th, at the Friends of the Library Common Book Author event, a new proclamation from Otterbein President John Comerford was announced: that October 27th would be the Friends of the Otterbein University Courtright Memorial Library Day. The Friends of the Library have been instrumental in supporting the library in the 20+ years since they formed. Library Rededicated for 50th Anniversary


The Courtright Memorial Library hosted a special, invite-only, 50th anniversary celebration event on October 1st, 2022. This invitation was sent to members of the Courtright family, library directors across Ohio, former employees and former student employees, and the Friends of the Library. The library will be hosting its annual Constitution Day celebration on September 16th, 2022, from 1pm to 3pm.
