Room Reservations

The library has several spaces that can be reserved ahead of time for student, faculty, and staff use.

Requests for library (and other campus) spaces can be submitted online through FMX and the Inquiry Request Form, which is linked below. Members of the campus community should “Log In With SSO” to gain full access to FMX, the Inquiry Request Form, and the full campus calendar. Library staff are unable to submit requests on behalf of others, but they are happy to walk through the process with any campus community member who may need assistance. External groups that want to reserve campus spaces should connect with the Office of Events and Conferences for more information.

All small/large group library room reservation requests are first submitted to the library’s Circulation Manager for review and then approved by the Office of Events and Conferences.

Please allow a minimum of 48 hours to process requests submitted Sunday – Thursday. Those requests submitted Friday – Saturday can take up to 72 hours to process. Please plan accordingly.

Reservable Room Details

Classrooms

  • Library 011 (Seminar Room)
    • Located in the lower level, this room has large glass whiteboards on two walls, movable tables, chairs for 16, an instructor computer, data projector and document camera. The back of this room is perfect for up to 8 person meetings including a TV with HDMI hookups for personal computers.
  • Library 118
    • 42 armchairs with instructor computer, data projector, document camera, and DVD player. Room located on the first floor with the entrance just inside the main library next to the stairs.
  • Library 124
    • 48 armchairs with instructor computer, data projector, document camera, and DVD player. Room located on the first floor in the back hallway past the Otterbean Cafe.
  • Library 126
    • 49 armchairs with instructor computer, data projector, document camera, and DVD player. Room located on the first floor in the back hallway past the Otterbean Cafe.
  • Library 127
    • Whiteboards surround movable tables and chairs that seat 24. The room comes with a data projector, document camera and DVD player; this space can be adapted to serve large or small group projects. Room located on the first floor in the back hallway past the Otterbean Cafe.

Computer Labs

  • Library 013
    • Open-air computer lab with 19 student computers, tables with seating in the middle for 8-9, a scanner, 5 TVs for projecting, instructor computer, document camera, and DVD player. Priority for this space is given to the Library, Academic Support Center, and Center for Teaching and Learning.
  • Library 200
    • Computer lab with 25 student computers, instructor computer, data projector, document camera, and DVD player located on the 2nd floor near the stairs.
  • Library 201
    • Computer lab with 19 student computers, a middle table with seating for 8-10, instructor computer, data projector, document camera, small scanner and printer, and DVD player located on the 2nd floor near the stairs.

Conference and Study Rooms

  • Library 202 (Neiswender)
    • Located on the 2nd floor by the elevator, 3 glass walls surround a round table with four chairs, a small glass whiteboard, and a TV with HDMI cord connection for personal computers.
  • Library 214A (Sensory-Friendly)
    • Located on the 2nd floor, this space contains one round table with four chairs and a beanbag, small glass whiteboard, and a TV with HDMI cord connection for personal computers. Dimmable lighting along with various sensory and self-care collection items are also available in this space.
  • Library 214B (Sensory-Friendly)
    • Located on the 2nd flooor, this space contains one long table with two chairs and a beanbag with a small glass whiteboard. Dimmable lighting along with various sensory and self-care collection items are also available in this space.
  • Library 218-222
    • Along the back of the second floor these 5 rooms are ideal for solo work as they contain a table and one chair.
  • Library 230 (Lois’ Study)
    • Conference table-style seating for 12 with a large glass whiteboard and TV located on the 2nd floor. TV has an HDMI hook-up for personal computers.
