Otterbein’s Annual Tree Lighting
December 1, 2023 | 5:30 p.m.
Towers Plaza, Campus
Join us as we celebrate the season with our annual tree lighting. In addition to the tree lighting by President John Comerford, the event features live music, carols, and hot chocolate and candy treats.
This event is free and no advance registration is required.
Toast to the December Graduates!
December 6, 2023 | 5-7 p.m.
Roush Hall, Campus
While we look forward to the formal Commencement exercises in April 2024, we invite all December 2023 graduates and a guest to join us for a special reception to celebrate their achievement. This event is hosted by the Office of Engagement and features an Alumni Welcome by Alumni Council Chair Erin Sites Ensign ’08 and a champagne toast.

The NEW Retirement: Don’t Just Survive… Thrive! with Holly McFarland ’78 and Ben Hoeger ’07

• The top myths around retirement.
• How your finances will fund and align with your new life.
• The non-financial conversations around family and relationships, social networks, mental and physical well-being, profession and business, and volunteering/giving back.
This workshop is ideal if you are:
• Five years or less from retirement
• Just retired or about to retire
• Being made to feel redundant or thinking about leaving work

Basketball Double-header vs. Capital University
January 20, 2024 | 5:00 p.m.
Rike Center, Campus
Do you love Otterbein and basketball? Well we’ve got the perfect event for you! Join fellow Cardinals and players’ families at the Rike as we cheer on both the men’s and women’s teams as they take on cross-town rival Capital University. The women tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m. We’ll provide refreshments.
The pre-game gathering is a free event but we do ask that you register in advance.

The Point at Otterbein, 60 Collegeview Rd, Westerville
The Class of 2024 will be celebrated in style on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. at The Point. Parents and immediate family members are invited to join their 2024 graduates for refreshments, music, and a champagne toast by President Comerford.
